Will Newell

Will Newell has over 20 years of experience in information technology, starting in 2001 as a Network & Systems Engineer at Westlea Housing Association. Will then worked at UNITE Group plc as an IS Architecture & Innovation Lead and Technical Project Lead, primarily delivering ICT-focused projects. From 2010 to 2014, Will served as the Head of ICT at Gloucester City Council, where they managed all aspects of ICT and delivered the ICT Strategy and ICT Capital Investment Programme. Following that, they joined Andrews Property Group as the Head of ICT, transforming their technology service to a hybrid cloud model and developing industry-leading products and websites. Currently, Will is the Head of Information Technology at Stonegate Farmers Ltd.

Will Newell completed their education at the University of Exeter, where they earned a Senior Leaders MBA degree in Business Administration and Management. Will attended the university from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they attended The University of Sheffield from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Software Engineering. Before their undergraduate studies, they attended Hurstpierpoint College from 1991 to 1996. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold several certifications, including Chartered Manager (CMgr) from the Chartered Management Institute, an MBA from the University of Exeter, CMI Management Level 3 certification from the Chartered Management Institute, ITIL 2011 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, TOGAF 8 Certified certification from The Open Group, and several Microsoft certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
