Edward Acevedo

VP Institutional Sales - Carbon Markets at StoneX Group

Edward Acevedo has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Edward has held various roles in different companies across different industries.

Starting in 1985, Acevedo worked at Purina S.A. de C.V. as a District Sales Manager, where they managed a distribution network and implemented sales activities. Edward then became a Key Account Sales Manager, where they established a new sales system and managed a service program to retain key accounts. Later, they became a Divisional Sales Manager, where they hired and supervised sales personnel and coordinated sales activities with other functional areas.

In 1991, Acevedo joined Ralston Purina International as a Regional Director for the Caribbean. Edward developed a strategic plan for the region, prepared annual budgets, and managed the region to achieve sales and profit targets.

Moving forward to 1996, Acevedo took on the role of Sales & Marketing Director - Americas at Ralston Purina Company. Here, they developed strategic marketing plans for subsidiaries in eight Latin American countries, supervised the performance of approved plans, and made recommendations regarding the organizational structure.

In 1999, Acevedo joined US Pension Trust as a Regional Director. Edward promoted financial products in various countries and established a distribution network. Edward also determined activities, quotas, and goals for the region.

From 2004 to 2018, Acevedo served as the President of Ipaco, Inc., where they procured industrial parts and equipment for companies in Latin America. Edward coordinated logistics and prepared export documents.

Most recently, in 2018, Acevedo joined StoneX Group Inc. as Vice President Sales Latin America & Southern Europe. Currently, they hold the position of VP Institutional Sales - Carbon Solutions.

Edward Acevedo obtained an MBA degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Miami Herbert Business School in 1994-1995. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Agriculture Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana from 1977 to 1981.
