Katherine Avery

Katherine Avery has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to risk management and operations. Katherine is currently the Head of Operational Risk - Americas at StoneX Group Inc. Katherine'sprevious roles include Associate Director of Business Controls at S&P Global, VP of Operational Risk and Enterprise Risk at BOK Financial, and Risk Manager of Operational Risk for Wealth Management Division at BBVA Compass. Katherine also has experience in operations management, having worked as an Assistant Manager of Operations at CBRE and in various roles at Situs, a global real estate advisory firm. Katherine started their career as an intern at Enron.

Katherine Avery has a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Real Estate from the University of Mississippi, which they obtained between 2001 and 2005. In 2007 to 2009, they pursued Continuing Education in Texas Law of Agency & Texas Law of Contracts at Baylor University. In 2017 to 2018, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Texas at Tyler. Additionally, Katherine has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager Level I and II, Operational Risk Manager (ORM) Certificate, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP).
