Matthew Zimbalist is currently the Regional Economic Competitiveness Officer at StopWaste, focusing on construction innovation and sustainability initiatives in the Bay Area. As a co-founder of Re-Up Refill Shop, Matthew promotes ecological products in refillable containers to minimize single-use plastic waste. Additionally, as the Lead Builder and Founder of Traditional Craftworks, Matthew specializes in combining ecological technologies with artisan building. Previous roles include Site Manager at Urban Adamah, Digital Fabricator at Because We Can, LLC, Finish Carpenter at Elliott Builders, Facilities Manager at Escalona House, and Life Lab Garden Coordinator at Live Oak School District. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Agricultural Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
