Mikael Hannus

Mikael Hannus is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in innovation and research and development within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Group Innovation R&D at Stora Enso since September 2002, Mikael has held various leadership roles including Vice President for Group R&D Innovation, Biorefinery Bioenergy, and Energy, overseeing energy strategy, procurement, risk management, and efficiency development. In addition to this role, Mikael is actively involved as a Board Member at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Executive Secretary for The Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, and Chairman of the Board for the Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP). Mikael's academic credentials include an eMBA in General Management from the Stockholm School of Economics and an M.Sc. in Process Technology, Chemical Pulping from Åbo Akademi University.
