Teija Karkkainen

Teija Karkkainen has extensive experience in the packaging industry, particularly with Stora Enso since November 2006, where currently serves as Head of Product Line for Kraftliners & Fluting in the BU Fresh Containerboard division. Key responsibilities include product line strategies, lifecycle management, and portfolio optimization across multiple mills in Finland. Previous roles at Stora Enso include Business and Development Manager focused on flexible packaging papers, and Commercial Manager overseeing the implementation of business strategies in this domain. Teija Karkkainen also has a background in international business, having successfully driven sales and development in Mexico and Central America, and holds prior experience as Consul at the Embassy of Finland in Mexico, where adept problem-solving in complex situations was essential. Teija Karkkainen earned a Master's degree in Russian Studies from the University of Eastern Finland.
