Alex Burnam

Alex Burnam began their work experience in 2011 as a Certified Property Manager at StorageMart, where they were responsible for leasing storage units and assisting with property maintenance. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing Intern at StorageMart, followed by an Operations Intern position at Easybox Selfstorage in 2014.

In 2016, Alex joined Heitman as an Acquisitions Associate, where they underwrote acquisition targets and conducted market research. They also coordinated closings and due diligence for various real estate investment strategies until 2017.

Starting in 2017, Alex returned to StorageMart as a Senior Analyst, Acquisitions. They were then promoted to Director, Acquisitions in 2019, and most recently held the position of Global Director, Acquisitions starting in 2023.

Additionally, Alex has been involved in various industry associations. They served as President of the Illinois Self Storage Association from 2018 and as a Board Member of the Iowa Self Storage Association from 2019.

From 2012 to 2016, Alex Burnam attended Tulane University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with a focus on Legal Studies in Business.
