Mark Mathieson

Mark Mathieson is a British engineer who is currently serving as an advisor at StoreDot. Mark has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in performance and emissions engineering.

Mathieson began their career as a mechanical engineering undergraduate at Bath Spa University. Mark later worked as a research engineer at the university, where they led the development of two 2-stroke diesel engine concepts. In 1993, they joined Ricardo Consulting Engineers as a performance and emissions project engineer. There, they served as the lead engineer on the P&E development of the new Ford Puma diesel engine.

In 2000, Mathieson founded Mathwall Engineering Limited, a consultancy firm specializing in emissions control and powertrain development. Mark served as the company's chairman and owner until 2010, when they joined McLaren Applied Technologies as director of innovation. At McLaren, they oversaw the development of new technologies for use in the automotive and motorsport industries. In 2012, they were appointed chief engineer of powertrain at McLaren Automotive Limited.

In 2016, Mathieson returned to Mathwall Engineering Limited as chairman and owner. Mark remains in this role today.

Mark Mathieson has a MPhil in Engine Design and Development from the University of Bath. Mark also has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Bath Spa University, as well as degrees from Godalming College and Woolmer Hill School.
