Juan Martín Escobedo Alvarado

Juan Martín Escobedo Alvarado has a diverse work experience, starting in 2019 with a research internship at the Laboratorio Nacional de Políticas Públicas. During this time, they led a team in a text mining project and built a dataset on presidential conferences.

In 2019, Juan also worked as a research assistant at Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas A.C., where they conducted statistical analysis of protests in Latin American countries.

In 2020, they interned at Innovations for Poverty Action as a research intern.

Following that, in 2021, Juan joined Sumando Hacemos + as a data analyst for a brief period.

From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a junior data analyst at Stori, where they developed analytical dashboards, implemented automation solutions, and conducted data analysis projects.

In 2022, Juan was promoted to senior analytics engineer at Stori, where they led the implementation of data for a new Core Banking system and managed the New Products department data.

As of 2023, Juan holds the position of principal analytics engineer at Stori, leading an analytics engineering squad in developing data-driven solutions, creating ETL processes, and executing OKRs and KPIs.

Juan Martín Escobedo Alvarado received their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas A.C. from 2017 to 2021. Juan Martín also participated in an exchange program at Charles University in 2020. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2017, they obtained a Technician degree in Information Technology from Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
