Beth Thomas

VP, Medicinal Chemistry at STORM Therapeutics

Beth joined STORM Therapeutics at its beginning in 2016 and is responsible for discovery and progression to clinical candidates of novel small molecule inhibitors of RNA modifying enzymes.

Beth has over 20 years of experience in medicinal and computational chemistry. She has a passion for starting and leading projects on novel and challenging targets and has successfully done so across multiple therapeutic areas. Through her career Beth has had experience in industrial, academic and not-for-profit roles leading inter-disciplinary drug discovery teams. Beth has worked at Celltech, UCB, BioFocus, University of Cambridge and was Head of Discovery Chemistry at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre before joining STORM Therapeutics. She has a degree in chemistry from the University of St Andrews and received her Ph.D. in polyketide biosynthesis from the University of Cambridge, UK.
