Nozhan Balafkan

Nozhan Balafkan has worked as a Data Scientist at StormGeo since October 2020. Prior to that, they held a role as a Data Scientist in Advanced Analytics and Geospatial AI at Capgemini from February 2019 to July 2020.

Nozhan Balafkan completed their education in the following chronological order:

1. From 2011 to 2013, Nozhan pursued a Master's degree in Astrophysics from Leipzig University.

2. In 2014 and 2015, Nozhan engaged in post-graduate studies in Computational Astrophysics at Saint Mary's University.

3. Between 2016 and 2018, Nozhan obtained a Master's degree in Climate physics and Energy from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway.

In addition to their formal education, Nozhan also obtained the following certifications:

1. In November 2018, Nozhan acquired certifications in Advances in Regional and Global Atmosphere - Ocean Modeling, Data Retrieval for Data Assimilation, KENDA: Ensemble Data Assimilation in a Regional Model, and Model Output Statistics (MOS) Methods, Applications, and Verification from I.R.OF IRAN Meteorological Organization.

2. Nozhan completed various courses on Coursera, including Fundamentals of GIS, GIS Data Formats, Design and Quality, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization.
