Catherine Montesi

Catherine Montesi has a diverse work experience in education, media, and writing. Catherine is currently working as a Podcast Education Specialist at CitizenRacecar, where they help middle school students create original podcasts. Catherine also serves as an Educator at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, where they provide educational support. In the past, Catherine has worked as a Senior Educator at the New-York Historical Society, where they taught museum-based programming and adapted curriculum to meet students' needs. Catherine has also worked as an Associate Producer, Actor, Director, and Teaching Artist at Story Pirates, where they adapted stories written by children into live performances and podcasts. Additionally, they have worked as an Engagement Intern at KALW 91.7 FM and as a Contributing Writer at THE CITY NY, where they contributed to a project writing memorials for New Yorkers lost to COVID-19. Catherine has also worked as a Performer and Puppeteer at Bluelaces Theater Company and as a Contributing Writer at Reductress.

Catherine Montesi obtained their Master's degree in Social/ Engagement Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in the years 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Christian Brothers University. Additionally, they participated in a study abroad program at John Cabot University, although the specific field of study during that time is not mentioned.
