Rachel Robertson

Director/actor/teaching Artist at Story Pirates

Rachel Robertson has a diverse work experience across various roles and industries. Rachel started their career as a temporary office assistant and intern at Triptyk Studios in 2015. Rachel then worked as a production assistant at Yahoo! from September 2015 to November 2016, where they assisted with live and prerecorded tapings and set up equipment. Rachel also worked briefly at Whole Foods Market as a Whole Body Team Member in 2015.

In 2017, they joined Creative Arts Studio as a theatre teacher, visual arts instructor, and camp counselor, where they introduced various theatre styles and visual mediums to elementary-aged children. Rachel later joined Simple Health in 2018 as a Patient Experience Expert until June 2022.

From 2015 to the present, Rachel has been involved with Story Pirates, initially as a director, actor, and teaching artist. Rachel teaches writing workshops in schools, transforms stories written by kids, and adapts them for the stage. Rachel also leads professional development workshops for teachers and voices characters for the Story Pirates Podcast.

Rachel has also worked as a housekeeper at Ant Street Inn from October 2022 to December 2022 and as a house manager at Unity Theatre in December 2022. Their most recent work experience is at Four Day Weekend as a cast member, starting in July 2023.

Additionally, Rachel served as a sports announcer at Baylor University from 2013 to 2014.

Rachel Robertson earned their Bachelor's Degree in Film and Digital Media and Political Science from Baylor University, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. From 2015 to 2019, they attended the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, focusing on Improvisational Comedy. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they studied Acting at Cathryn Sullivan's Acting for Film. Additionally, Rachel obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association in May 2017. Rachel also studied Communications: Mass Media at Hardin-Simmons University starting in 2010, but no end year is provided.
