Andrew Grathwohl has over 13 years of work experience. In 2020, they became the Lead Software Engineer at Storyboard.fm - Audio for Teams, where they are responsible for leading web application development and cloud architecture, purveying Storyboard's "Audio 1st" vision, and managing a multi-functional and agile development team, as well as a team of overseas contractors. In 2018, they co-created ARA Blocks. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Littlstar as the Director of Media Technology and Lead Media Engineer. In this role, they managed the Media Services engineering team, administered the media technology roadmap, and owned initiatives dealing with content ingestion, media quality standards, signal processing, content transcoding, media archiving, and HTTP live streaming delivery. In 2014, they were the Managing Partner of Sacred Data Media Partners, where they conducted research and projects related to the dichotomy between quality and fidelity for media applications, as well as a browser-based spoken word narration and editing application. From 2016 to 2015, they worked at Showtime Networks Inc. as a Senior Business Analyst - Video, where they managed the build-out and adoption of the network's first digital asset management platform and migrated in-house many of the network's key distribution service needs. From 2015 to 2015, they worked at SpokenLayer as an Audio Scientist, where they were responsible for building out a B2B audio cloud production network and producing two major SpokenLayer podcasts. In 2015, they were a Backend Engineer at Overture.me, where they were responsible for building out a digital video processing stack, which included a multi-codec transcoder and automated video editor. Andrew also worked at Streamable as a Software Engineer (Video), where they identified optimization opportunities for video transcoding stack and designed and helped implement transcoding logic. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Audible, Inc. as an ACX Production Coordinator and Post-Production Associate, where they managed the Audio QA team, administered automated production technology, curated audio production education materials, maintained the aesthetic standards of Audible's product line, and invented an Audible technology patent. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Owner of Unmuted Enterprises, where they produced hundreds of audiobooks, podcasts, and M&E mixes and grew their business to provide a high-quality team of audio and media experts for large-volume content creation projects.

Andrew Grathwohl attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a B.S. in Recording Arts and Computer Music.
