Esther Honig

Esther Honig is a seasoned journalist and producer with extensive experience in reporting on agriculture, climate change, and immigration. Currently serving as a Producer at StoryCorps since September 2022, Esther has also been a Freelance Journalist since January 2020, focusing on impactful stories from Mexico City and Colorado amidst the pandemic. Previous roles include Reporter for KUNC and The Colorado Sound, where Esther covered the effects of trade policies on farmers, and General Assignment Reporter at WOSU Public Media, where Esther honed skills in multitasking and resourcefulness. Esther began the journalism career as a Contributing Reporter at KCUR and also gained valuable experience as a Kiva Fellow in microfinance in Chile. Esther holds a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Mills College and completed an advanced Spanish course at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
