Virginia Millington

Virginia Millington has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Virginia started their career at Walker Art Center as an Office Assistant in 2003. In 2004, they joined Folger Shakespeare Library, initially as a Program Assistant and later as an Exhibitions Manager. At the library, they researched and edited exhibition materials, managed annual exhibitions, and collaborated with different departments for promotion and marketing. Since 2010, Virginia has been working at StoryCorps, initially as the Director of Recording & Archive and currently as the Managing Director of Program Operations. In their current role, they oversee archiving, preservation, and policy development for digital audio recordings, manages a team, and serves as Principal Investigator on grant-funded initiatives.

Virginia Millington received their Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Virginia later pursued a Master's degree in Library Science at Pratt Institute, which they completed from 2008 to 2009.
