Chris Sainty

Chris Sainty has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Chris began their career at Quids Technology, where they progressed from a junior role to becoming the technical lead for a group of developers. During their 11-year tenure, they gained extensive experience in developing features and designing systems for ERP and e-commerce platforms.

Chris then worked as a senior software engineer at Sembo AB, where they focused on full-stack web development for e-commerce travel sites. Chris also contributed to the development of search result pages using technologies like KnockoutJS and JSON API.

Afterward, Chris joined Online Fulfillment Sverige AB as a senior software engineer, where they participated in a short project to develop an internal call center agent scheduling system. Chris successfully delivered a high-quality product to the internal team.

Following that, Chris worked as a senior software engineer at Svensk Maskinprovning, where they were part of a team tasked with rebuilding the company's online customer portal. Chris played a key role in developing the JSON API using C#, Nancy, and other technologies.

Chris then joined iFACTS as a senior software engineer/architect, where they assisted in setting the architecture and direction for a significant development project. Their responsibilities also included selecting appropriate technologies, improving workflows, and coaching the team on code quality and development practices.

Chris later joined tretton37 AB as a software development consultant, where they engaged in consulting contracts while actively contributing to various aspects of the company, such as knowledge sharing, company culture, recruitment, training, and strategy.

Prior to their current position, Chris worked as an engineering manager at Storytel, where they led multiple teams and performed typical management functions related to recruitment, retention, and professional development. Chris also maintained an engineering connection, contributing to development plans and handling challenging engineering tasks.

Currently, Chris serves as a principal software engineer at Storytel, initially focusing on addressing structural debt within engineering collaboration and decision-making. Chris has been responsible for building a network of people and processes to steer engineering efforts in the right direction.

Chris Sainty attended the University of Newcastle from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
