Jean-Charles Lede

Jean-Charles Lede currently serves as the Chief Architect of Autonomy at STR since October 2023. Prior to this role, Jean-Charles held the position of Chief Technology Officer at RapidFlight, LLC from May 2022 to September 2023. From July 2018 to June 2022, Jean-Charles worked as an AFRL Autonomy Technology Advisor for the US Air Force, providing strategic guidance on autonomy research. Jean-Charles’ career includes a tenure at DARPA as a Program Manager from July 2013 to July 2018, and as the Director of Unmanned Systems at Raytheon Missile Systems from June 2010 to March 2013. Jean-Charles spent several years at Aurora Flight Sciences, where roles included Vice President of Advanced Concepts and UAV Development Group Leader, as well as Mars Airplane Program Manager. Educational background includes studies at Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace from 1990 to 1993.
