Kelly Geyer

Kelly Geyer is a Senior Signal Processing Engineer at STR since December 2023, bringing extensive experience in research and academia. Previously, as a Ph.D. Candidate, Research Fellow, and Teaching Fellow at Boston University from September 2019 to May 2023, Kelly developed computational methods for multi-modal genomic data, focusing on high-dimensional statistics and Bayesian hierarchical models. Prior roles include Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Rice University, where methodologies for interpreting ECoG data were designed, and work at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where social network exploration and natural language processing were conducted. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from Boston University, a Master of Arts in Statistics from Rice University, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Statistics from Virginia Tech.
