Kirill Trapeznikov is a Principal Scientist and Machine Learning Researcher at STR since March 2014, with expertise in machine learning and statistical signal processing, focusing on active learning, boosting methods, and decision systems. Prior to this role, Kirill served as a Postdoc and Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University from September 2008 to March 2014, contributing to a DHS-funded multi-sensor fusion explosive detection project. Kirill's experience includes a graduate internship at Sandia National Laboratories, where projects involved developing imaging systems for solar power technologies, and a technical internship at BioMimetic Systems focused on acoustic direction finding systems. Kirill holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from Boston University, completed between 2003 and 2013.
