Safak Sahin Ph.

Cem Safak Sahin, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Cem Safak is currently the Chief Scientist at STR, where they oversee scientific research. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Group Leader and Principal Machine Learning Researcher at the same company. Cem Safak has also worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Member of Technical Staff, and at Technology Solutions (TS), BAE Systems, Inc. as a Senior Research Engineer. Alongside their industry experience, Sahin has contributed to academia as a Member of the External Advisory Board at The City College of New York's Computer Engineering department. Cem Safak has also served as a Member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Unmanned System Technology (JUST). Additionally, Sahin is a Senior Member of IEEE and has participated in various technical program committees and international committees related to computer science. Cem Safak previously held a managerial role at American Express and conducted summer research at MTA Bus, CCNY, and Columbia University.

Cem Safak Sahin, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Cem Safak started by completing their high school education at Malatya Lisesi from 1989 to 1992. Cem Safak then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Elec.-Electronics Eng. from Gazi University from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Telecommunication from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi/Middle East Technical University between 1997 and 2000. Later, they joined the City University of New York Graduate Center and earned a Master of Philosophy degree in Evolutionary Optimization and Robotics from 2007 to 2010. Finally, they successfully completed their doctoral studies at The Graduate Center, City University of New York in the same field of study, Evolutionary Optimization and Robotics, during the same timeframe as their M.Phil degree.
