SVP Software at Strand Life Sciences

Mahesh Nagarajan has extensive work experience in the software industry, particularly in the bio-informatics field. Mahesh is currently employed at Strand Life Sciences as the SVP Software, where they focus on developing cutting-edge products and solutions for analyzing NGS data and clinical pipelines. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Engineering at BuddhiMed Technologies.

Mahesh previously worked at Strand Life Sciences in various roles. From 2019 to 2020, they were the SVP Software, overseeing the development of bio-informatics products. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the VP Software, leading a team of 10 members in the development of StrandOmics, an NGS-based clinical interpretation and reporting tool. And from 2013 to 2016, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer.

Before joining Strand, Mahesh worked at Philips as a Senior Specialist in Software Technology for a brief period in 2013. Prior to that, they were a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Motorola Mobility from 2011 to 2012.

Mahesh first entered the bio-informatics industry in 2010 when they joined Strand Life Sciences as a Specialist in Software. Mahesh then gained experience in developing android-based mobile applications at Motorola Mobile Devices from 2008 to 2010.

Earlier in their career, Mahesh worked as a Software Consultant at Credit Suisse First Boston in 2007, as well as at Bloomberg NY, where they focused on billing system automation and migration to web services based solutions from 2006 to 2007. Mahesh first started their software consulting career at SIAC, NY in 2005.

Overall, Mahesh Nagarajan has a diverse and extensive background in the software industry, with a strong emphasis on bio-informatics and NGS data analysis.

Mahesh Nagarajan completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics at the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued their Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1995 to 1997.
