Strata is a 70 strong private limited company, formed on 1st November 2014, wholly owned by three councils: Exeter City, Teignbridge District and East Devon District.

Strata's core aims are to:

   •Reduce overall costs of running the provision of the councils'​ IT systems
   •Reduce the risks to the IT environment
   •Increase the capability and capacity to deliver transformation using IT
   •Deliver all business applications across multiple sites using mobile and resilient VDI technology
