Alain Boucher

Alain Boucher is an experienced professional in computer vision with a current role in R&D at Activia Networks / Stratacache since September 2013, focusing on projects in the retail business domain such as inventory management and audience measurement. Previously, Alain served as a visiting researcher at the University of La Rochelle, establishing collaborative educational initiatives between France and Vietnam. As a professor in computer science at Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Informatique for a decade, contributions were made to research and education across the region. Earlier experience includes a research position at INRIA, where Alain participated in a European project on asthma, resulting in a European patent for pollen grain recognition methods. Alain holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Joseph Fourier and a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
