Cassidy Houchins

Cassidy Houchins is a Principal Scientist at Strategic Analysis Incorporated since May 2015, focusing on techno-economic analysis of energy-related systems. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Engineer/Energy Analyst at SRA International from May 2011 to April 2015, providing technical support for the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies program at the Department of Energy. In this role, Cassidy Houchins collected and analyzed data to assess barriers to commercialization and prepared reports for DOE management. Earlier, Cassidy held the position of National Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow at the Naval Research Laboratory from January 2009 to April 2011, studying solute-solvent interactions and metal nanomaterial properties. Cassidy Houchins began an academic career as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teacher at the University of California, Davis, from September 2003 to January 2009, specializing in ion spectroscopy and dynamics. Cassidy holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
