Dan Wright

Dan Wright has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dan began their career in 1998 as a Computer Operations Branch Chief at ACS - Government Contractor, where they managed IT support for the Office of the Civil Engineer. Dan then worked as a Sr System Administrator at The Louis Berger Group, where they assisted with GIS integration and eventually managed the D.C. IT office.

In 1999, Dan became the IT Director at Information Union, LLC, where they provided consulting services to government and private sectors for technology integration and support, with a focus on supporting non-profit organizations that assist retired military personnel, veterans, and military spouses.

From 2001 to 2016, Dan worked as a Government Contractor at the U.S. Department of State and later CACI, where they traveled worldwide to apply patches and standardize security settings to bring internet access to desktop systems. Dan also supported system administrators in preparing servers and workstations for network accreditation.

Dan then joined WINS in 2003 as a Sr Systems Engineer and .NET Programmer, responsible for supporting a web-based portal that integrated multiple enterprise monitoring applications into a single point of access. Dan utilized various hardware and software technologies, including Microsoft Clustering, SQL Server 2005 Clusters, and Network Load Balanced Web Servers.

In 2008, Dan became the President of DCS Technologies, LLC, before transitioning to the role of Azure SQL Server DBA at Acuity in 2016. During their time at Acuity, they focused on migrating a custom application to the Microsoft Azure for Government cloud, specifically working on the SQL database migration to Azure SQL and ensuring government security compliance.

Most recently, in 2018, Dan joined Strategic Business Systems (SBS) as a Data Warehouse Specialist. Their exact responsibilities in this role are not specified.

Outside of their professional career, Dan is also a Bassist and Vocalist for the Jerry Wade Band, entertaining audiences at various venues in Virginia.

Dan Wright earned a Professional Certification in MCP ASP.NET 3.5 from Microsoft in the year 2010. Additionally, they obtained Professional Certifications in Microsoft Back Office Professional and .NET Web Developer Certified Professional from Learning Tree International at some point, although the specific years are unknown.
