Paul Demetriou

Paul Demetriou has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paul currently works as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Strategic Business Systems (SBS) since June 2023. Prior to this, they were associated with Meta from April 2022 to May 2023 where they held the role of Talent Acquisition for Production Engineering at Facebook-WhatsApp-Instagram, responsible for recruiting industry-leading engineers. Before joining Meta, Paul worked as the Talent Acquisition & Brand Leader at SBS from July 2018 to April 2022, where they managed the full life-cycle recruiting efforts for Technical Professionals within the DoD/Intelligence Community and Commercial IT Markets. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Talent Acquisition/Brand and Marketing Management at Xyntek Inc | CXV Global USA, responsible for talent acquisition and overall marketing functions. At TASC, Inc (an Engility Company), Paul held the role of Sr Talent Acquisition Lead from 2010 to 2016, specializing in the acquisition of highly cleared Intelligence, Information Technology, and Financial professionals. Paul started their career as a Technical Recruiter at TEKsystems from 2003 to 2005, and later worked as Talent Acquisition Lead at Northrop Grumman from November 2005 to December 2009. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, recruiting engagement strategies, and brand management.

Paul Demetriou earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a minor in Communications from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Change Management Foundations and Developing Mental Toughness for Leadership from the Project Management Institute in November 2022. Paul also received certification in Virtual Recruiting from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) - Nova Southeastern University Student Chapter in November 2022.
