Yan Anthea Zhang

Yan Anthea Zhang is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of strategic management, currently serving as President of The Strategic Management Society since January 2015, having also held the roles of President-Elect and Board Member. As the Fayez Sarofim Vanguard Professor of Strategic Management at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University, Yan Anthea Zhang has contributed significantly to the academic community since July 2001, undertaking various positions including Area Coordinator of the Strategy & Environment Group and Associate Professor (with tenure). Additionally, Yan Anthea Zhang served as a Board Member for the International Corporate Governance Society from December 2015 to December 2018 and spent a year as a Professor of Strategic Management at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 2012-2013. Yan Anthea Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from USC Marshall School of Business and advanced degrees from City University of Hong Kong and Nanjing University.
