James C. Johnson

James C. Johnson, MD, is president of Mecklenburg Radiology Associates (MRA), Charlotte, NC, which has served North Carolina since 1917 and is the oldest radiology group in the state. A neuroradiologist, Dr. Johnson has served on the MRA Board, the Boards of Directors for Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center and Novant Health Rowan Medical Foundation, and the Southern Piedmont Regional Board of Novant Health for several years. He completed his medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine; his residency at Geisinger Medical Center; and fellowship in neuroradiology at Allegheny General Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh. Dr. Johnson was previously the managing partner of Piedmont Radiology Associates located in Salisbury, N.C., which merged with MRA in 2015. Throughout his career, he has striven to elevate the quality and level of radiological diagnostic and interventional services available to patients throuhout the Charlotte and Salisbury communities.
