Judy Maligaspe CWP

Judy Maligaspe CWP has a range of work experience in the events, hospitality, and wedding industries. Judy is currently the owner of Wera Events, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Task Force Conference Services and Catering Sales Manager at Strategic Solution Partners starting in October 2018.

Judy also has experience as a Board Member at Wedding International Professionals Association from January 2022 to June 2023. Before their current roles, they worked as a Conference Services Manager at THE LUXURY COLLECTION from November 2017 to October 2018 and as an Event Manager at AT&T Performing Arts Center from December 2016 to August 2017.

Their earlier experience includes working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. as part of the W hotels team from March 2014 to August 2016. Judy also worked as a Banquet Manager at Hilton Worldwide from January 2012 to February 2014 and as a Banquet Director at Wichita Country Club from January 2005 to January 2011.

Judy Maligaspe CWP began their education journey in 2007 at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. Judy pursued a Master of Food and Beverage, although the specific end year is unavailable. Prior to that, Judy attended the Singapore Management University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. Additionally, Judy earned a Behavioral Interviewing Certification from Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Judy also obtained a Certificate in Event and Meeting Management from the University of Georgia - College of Education in September 2017. Furthermore, Judy is a Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWP) accredited by the WEDDING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION since 2010. Judy is currently in the process of obtaining the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council.
