Abid Mahmood

Abid Mahmood has extensive work experience in the software development industry. Abid started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Square63, where they worked on an in-house application called 'Hexagon' using Ruby on Rails and Javascript. From there, they joined Railization Sp.z.o.o as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in the development and engineering processes of large-scale applications.

After that, Mahmood worked at Kwanso as a Full-Stack Engineer, focusing on Ruby on Rails and Javascript. Abid was responsible for writing quality code, training junior developers, and maintaining repositories over GIT. Following their time at Kwanso, they joined Punch Group as a Full Stack Engineer, where they continued to write quality code and deployed projects on servers using Capistrano, Heroku, and AWS. Abid also provided assistance to junior engineers, maintained client communication, and analyzed project performance.

From there, Mahmood joined DevCrew.io as a Senior React Native Developer, where their core responsibilities included writing quality code, building highly responsive UI for Android and iOS devices, and creating the architecture of applications from scratch. Abid also pushed code to Gitlab and maintained clean git history.

Currently, Mahmood works at Strategic Systems International as a Technical Project Manager. In this role, they are responsible for efficient resource allocation, foreseeing and training people based on project requirements, and communicating with clients across multiple projects. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Principal Software Engineer and Development Team Lead at the same company. In these roles, they were responsible for client communication, engaging in various technologies, forecasting results without full implementation, reviewing code quality, managing projects, and training and developing team members.

Throughout their career, Mahmood has gained experience with a variety of technologies, including ReactJS, React Native, Redux, NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, and Javascript. Abid has demonstrated a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and projects, while also excelling in client communication and project management.

Abid Mahmood pursued their education in the field of computer science. Abid completed their Matriculation degree in Computer Science from Joan McDonald High School, where they studied from 1995 to 2007. Following that, they pursued an Intermediate degree in Computer Science from Punjab College Of Information Technology from 2007 to 2009. Finally, they received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad, completing their studies in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Abid obtained several certifications. In 2007, they obtained a Diploma in Hardware & Maintenance from tevta. In 2009, they became a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional. Subsequently, in 2012, Abid achieved Cisco Certified Network Associate status. In 2013, they further expanded their certifications by becoming a Red Hat Certified System Administrator and an EVS Certified Web Developer, both from respective institutions.
