Tanya Kumar Walia

Tanya Kumar Walia has a wealth of experience in the hospitality and marketing industries. In 2010, they completed On The Job Training at Taj Hotels. In 2011, they were an Understudy at JW Marriott, where they were trained in the Front Office department and Guest Relations. In 2012, they were a Management Trainee at Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, where they were trained in Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Reservations, Front Desk, F&B, and Food Production. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) as a Manager Hospitality and Visitor Experience and Coordinator, Hospitality & Visitor Experience. During this time, they organized and spearheaded the hospitality vertical for the 18th and 19th year of the festival and year round screenings, as well as spearheading Jury, Special guest, Special events, invited delegates, Gala events, and festival material verticals. In 2016, they were also a Manager Marketing at Kalinga TV 24x7, responsible for calling on negotiated and non-negotiated commercial corporate companies, as well as extensive coverage of the portfolio including planned and systematic cold calling on accounts. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Sr. Community Manager and Community Manager at 91springboard, where they were responsible for building a community for the members, driving high quality engagement programs, preparing quarterly community plans, and partnering with hub crew to solve member problems. Currently, they are a Community Manager at StrategyConnect Inc (Techstars Hub71), where they are responsible for launching the consultant community, managing end to end online and offline events, managing marketing and engagement on LinkedIn and Forbes, and creating communication templates and putting processes in place.

Tanya Kumar Walia completed a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from The University of Huddersfield between 2009 and 2013. Tanya also completed a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Maulana Azad College of Arts,commerce & Science, Roza Baug between 2009 and 2012. In 2013, they earned a Diploma in Acting from Barry John Acting Studio. In 2014, they earned a Diploma in Dance from Terence Lewis Dance Academy.
