Daren Sears

Daren Sears, GISP, has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and coaching, currently serving as the Manager of GIS at Strathcona County since December 2007. Previous roles include GIS Coordinator at West Fraser Timber Co Ltd and GIS Specialist at Canadian Forest Products. Daren also contributed as an Assistant Coach for the Men's Soccer team at NAIT from August 2013 to August 2018. Daren's educational background includes a Certificate in Municipal Management and Leadership from the University of Alberta, a GIS credential from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, a B Licence in Soccer Coaching from the Canadian Soccer Association, and training in Emergency Management.
