Mark Goetz is an experienced GIS professional currently serving as the Enterprise GIS Manager for The Mohegan Tribe since December 2025. Prior roles include GIS Director at Civix from September 2019 to December 2025, and significant contributions to the Connecticut GIS Network as Data Standard Subcommittee Chair from March 2017 to September 2019. Mark has led the development of regional GIS systems in various capacities, including as GIS Director for MetroCOG, where a $1.4M project was executed, and served as President of the Connecticut GIS User to User Network. With a BS in Geology and GIS Certificate from the University of Connecticut, along with a Project Management Certificate from Charter Oak State College, Mark has a strong foundation in both technical and project management disciplines within GIS technology.
