Jacob Harland has a strong background in engineering, primarily in the oil and gas industry. Jacob started their career in 2014 at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL), where they gained experience in various roles including Field Facilities Engineer, Field Facilities Engineer-In-Training, Power Engineer, and Facilities Engineer-In-Training. In 2018, they joined Federation Engineering as a Project Engineer. Jacob then moved to Serafina Energy Ltd. in 2019, where they worked as a Facilities Engineer until 2022 when the company was acquired by Strathcona Resources Ltd. Currently, they hold the position of Field Engineer at Strathcona Resources Ltd.
Jacob Harland completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan from 2010 to 2014. Jacob also obtained a Third Class Power Engineering Certificate from the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan in September 2020 and another one from ABSA, the Pressure Equipment Safety Authority, in March 2016.
