Thad Riess, P.Eng., PMP

Thad Riess, P.Eng., PMP has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Thad is currently working as a Facilities Engineer at Strathcona Resources Ltd. since November 2021.

Before that, Thad had a long tenure at Husky Energy. From June 2018 to November 2021, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer, handling various responsibilities. Prior to that, they served as a Completions EIT from June 2016 to May 2018, where they gained valuable experience in completions engineering. Thad also briefly worked as a Business Development EIT from January 2016 to June 2016 and as an Asset Retirement EIT from June 2015 to December 2015 while at Husky Energy.

Thad also has experience working with Husky Energy as a Thermal Well Operator during their summer breaks from May 2011 to August 2014.
