Cherry Makena

Cherry Makena is a dedicated law student at Strathmore University, with a focus on several leadership and research roles. Active in the Strathmore Kenya Model United Nations Chapter as a Delegate in the General Assembly, Cherry holds positions in various organizations, including serving as Segment Director for the Strathmore University Media Group and Head of Research and Writing Division at Article 42. Additional experience includes internships at CIPIT and Mohammed Muigai LLP, along with a role at Microsoft Policy Innovation Center. Cherry has contributed to the Strathmore University Debate Society as Deputy Communications and Marketing Executive and served as a Senator on the Strathmore University Student Council, addressing student concerns and facilitating school events. Cherry's academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws expected by July 2024, following previous education at Riara Springs Girls' High School and Lukenya School.
