Rafael Quintanilla

Rafael Quintanilla has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rafael started their career at Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC in 1998 and played a crucial role in establishing their first IT department. Rafael was promoted multiple times and eventually became a Senior Systems Architect, responsible for designing and implementing disaster recovery and high availability solutions.

In 2009, Quintanilla joined Storage Monkey LLC as the Director of Operations - Disaster Recovery. Here, they successfully analyzed and redesigned major revenue-generating disaster recovery infrastructure, significantly reducing the downtime to just 30 minutes. Rafael also implemented efficient data replication and remote access solutions.

After that, Quintanilla served as the IT Director at Silver Entertainment from 2010 to 2015. During their tenure, they led a team responsible for maintaining gaming and hospitality environments in Latin America and the Caribbean. Rafael implemented robust and reliable infrastructure improvements to ensure stability.

Currently, Quintanilla is working at Strato, Inc. where they initially joined as an IT Manager in 2015. During their time there, they introduced and implemented a vMWare virtualization infrastructure solution. Rafael also designed and implemented a comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plan to mitigate risk to the company's daily operations. Quintanilla is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Strato, Inc.

Rafael Quintanilla earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science from La Guardia Community College. Rafael attended the college from 1994 to 1997.
