Jake W. is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and chemical engineering. Currently, at Stratolaunch since October 2019, Jake serves as a Flight Engineer and leads the Talon propulsion system, overseeing design and development for propulsion subsystems related to the Talon-A hypersonic vehicle. Previous roles include engineering responsibilities at Scaled Composites, LLC for the Stratolaunch carrier aircraft’s fuel system and design engineering. Prior to that, Jake contributed to automotive engine oils development at Chevron and gained diverse experience through internships with Apple, Rio Tinto, and field research with the National Science Foundation in Antarctica. Jake holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rochester.
