Jay Whitacre

Jay Whitacre, Ph.D. is the CEO/CTO and Founder of Stratus Materials Inc., providing innovative lithium ion battery cathode materials solutions. Jay is a Full Professor at Carnegie Mellon University focusing on materials and policies for energy storage and conversion technologies. Whitacre has also founded companies such as Scaled Ionics LLC and Aquion Energy, and has experience in fundamental functional materials research at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
