Mojtaba Khomami Abadi

Mojtaba Khomami Abadi began their career in 2011 when they joined the University of Trento as a PhD student. During their time there, they developed a corpus on affective, user-centric and spontaneous multimedia indexing and published three journal papers in the IEEE transactions on affective computing. In 2014, they joined Queen Mary University of London as a Research Associate for a four-month research visit. Later that year, they joined TandemLaunch Inc. as an Entrepreneur In Residence. In 2015, they co-founded Sensaura Inc., a real-time, multi-modal, biosignal-based emotion recognition platform as a service. In 2017, they joined Noze (formerly Stratuscent) as Director of Research and AI Research Director. At Noze, they leveraged bio-inspired technology developed by JPL, NASA to capture scents information in digital format.

Mojtaba Khomami Abadi received a Bachelor degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Combinatorial Optimization from the University of Tehran in 2010. Mojtaba then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Trento, which they completed in 2017.
