Kay Firth-Butterfield

Kay Firth-Butterfield serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Good Tech Advisory since August 2023 and holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from October 2023. In addition, Firth-Butterfield is an Advisory Board Member at Aboitiz Data Innovation and a Board Member at the Earth Species Project, both roles beginning in August 2023 and September 2020, respectively. As an Associate Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers since April 2020, Firth-Butterfield also serves as Master of the Inner Temple in London since February 2019. Additional roles include membership in the Technical Advisory Group of the Foundation for Responsible Robots, Distinguished Scholar at The Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Law School. Firth-Butterfield has published works as a self-employed author since 2013, including a book on human rights and human trafficking, and has an extensive educational background in law and international relations from institutions including St. Mary's University and the University of Sussex.
