Thomas Burt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Thomas started their career in 1990 as a General Manager at Innisfree Hotels, successfully turning around unprofitable hotels. Thomas then worked as an Economist at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where they received exceptional ratings and completed emergency economic analysis within a record time. After that, they joined Citigroup as an Account Officer, performing credit analysis and loan structuring. Thomas later worked at CoBank as a Senior Credit Officer, overseeing credit actions and monitoring credit quality. In 2002, they transitioned into education and worked as a Teacher at DeKalb County School District until 2015. Starting in 2011, they began their career in tutoring services, first as a Director of Tutor Services at Applerouth Tutoring Services, and now as the Director of Tutor Services at Stravos Education, where they lead a team and is responsible for performance standards, department goals, and strategic planning.
Thomas Burt completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance at the University of South Alabama from 1993 to 1995. Thomas then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Accounting and Finance from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School between 1995 and 1997.
