Matthew Kochka is an experienced horticulturist currently working at Strawbery Banke Museum since September 2016, where responsibilities include planning and executing historic gardens in a living history setting. Prior roles include Farm Manager at Riverside Farm, where management involved 40 acres of cultivated land and greenhouses, as well as research-focused graduate work at the University of New Hampshire. Matthew has cultivated extensive expertise in strawberry production systems and integrated pest management, along with experience in operational roles at Aquaharvest Technologies. Additional contributions include mentoring new farmers through the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project and developing resources for the Farm Aid organization. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Plant Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire.
