Brendan Gorkis, aPHR

Brendan Gorkis, aPHR, has a diverse work experience in various human resources roles. Brendan started their career in 2016 as a Team Leader - Materials Manager at Group Mission Trips, where they led missions and managed materials for work sites. In 2018, they joined Target as a Human Resources Team Member, coordinating recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits support. Brendan then worked as a Human Resources Generalist (Contract Work) at RoboWorx, Inc., where they developed HR requirements for a new division and implemented new hire practices. At Transdev North America, Brendan served as a Human Resources Coordinator, maintaining employee files, managing HR vendors, and handling employee data. Brendan also worked as a Human Resources Coordinator (Contract Work) at Insight, where they provided staffing support and managed HR policies. Prior to their current role, Brendan worked as a Human Resources Coordinator at Springfield Electric Supply Company, handling payroll, HR operations, and bonus schedules. Currently, they are employed as a Global Technical Support at Streamlined Communications, supporting clients, working on platform upgrades, and assisting with roll-outs.

Brendan Gorkis, aPHR, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Human Relations-Rehabilitation, Counseling and Education, at the University of Iowa from 2014 to 2018. Currently, they are pursuing CompTIA A+ certification as a qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. Additionally, they are also undertaking the Java Programming Fundamentals Specialization through Coursera/Duke University. Brendan has earned the aPHR certification from SHRM and is currently working towards the SHRM-CP certification.
