Lauren Penkala

Lauren Penkala has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lauren began their career at Bloomfield Hills Country Club as a Golf Caddy from 2003 to 2010. In 2009, they worked as a Bakery Associate at Westborn Market.

In 2011, Lauren joined YouthWorks as a Work Projects Coordinator before transitioning to John Carroll University as a Recreation Assistant and later as a Building Supervisor from 2011 to 2013. At the same university, they served as the Head Coach for Men's & Women's Club Rowing from 2013 to 2017.

From 2013 to 2017, Lauren also worked at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland in various roles such as Donation & Housing Coordinator, Job Developer, and Program Administrator in the Office of Migration and Refugee Services.

Following this, they took on the role of Executive Director at HandsOn Northeast Ohio from 2017 to 2019.

Most recently, in June 2022, Lauren began working at StreamlineMD, LLC as the Payment & Refunds Operations Manager.

Lauren Penkala completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a focus on Health, Human Services, and Social Justice from John Carroll University in the period from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Administration from the same university, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016.
