Polina Gorbunova has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Software Engineer for Stride Funding. In 2021, they became a Software Engineering Fellow at General Assembly, where they completed an intensive and immersive software engineering program and aquired tech skills such as HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB, REST API, Python, SQL, Django, Gatsby, Graphql, Boostrap, Material UI, Sass, and Styled Components. In 2019, they became a Clinician at The Guild for Human Services, where they developed support strategies for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities and analyzed data to monitor progress. In 2017, they became a Behavioral Therapist at Northeast Family Services, where they developed specific behavioral objectives and interventions. In 2016, they began working as a Case Manager and Job Coach at MAB Community Services, where they supervised a residential group home of five male adults with brain injuries and developmental disabilities. Lastly, in 2008, they worked as an HR assistant at Ernst & Young, where they were responsible for organizing and filing documents, maintaining employee and client databases, managing office supplies, and organizing travel plans for managers and staff.

Polina Gorbunova is currently enrolled in a Full Stack Software Development program at General Assembly, which they began in 2021. Previously, they earned a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) between 2010 and 2015. Before that, they attended Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2006 to 2009. In addition, they have obtained certifications in JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp in June 2021 and Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp in April 2021.
