Imtiaz Nazir

Imtiaz Nazir has over a decade of experience in various roles within the technology and security field. Imtiaz is currently the Head of Security Research at TechnoGenics SMC PVT LTD and also holds the position of Head of Threat Research and Founding Member at StrikeReady. In 2018, they served as a Board Member at Emaago Tech.

Prior to their current positions, Imtiaz worked at FireEye, Inc. for several years. During their time there, they held the roles of Senior Malware Researcher and Malware Researcher, where they developed content-based detection engines and conducted web security assessments. Imtiaz also specialized in mobile malware research and was responsible for static and dynamic analysis of Android malwares, reverse engineering Android applications, and re-packing and modifying Android applications.

Earlier in their career, Imtiaz worked as a Research Assistant at the Analog & Mixed Signal Research Group (AMSG), where they ported Windows Mobile 5 and Android OS (1.6 Donut) on ARM kit. Imtiaz also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at the Vocational Training Institute.

Overall, Imtiaz Nazir has a diverse range of work experience in security research, threat research, mobile malware analysis, and software development.

Imtiaz Nazir completed their Matriculation in Mathematics and Computer Science from Fauji Foundation Model School, Bahawalnagar from 2004 to 2006. Imtiaz then pursued their SSC in Pre Engineering from Govt. College for Boys from 2006 to 2008. Finally, they attended the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) where they obtained their Bachelors of Information And Communication System Engineering (BICSE) degree from 2008 to 2012.
