Brendan Herger is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in delivering impactful solutions across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Stripe since February 2024, Brendan previously held the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Uber, where Brendan developed four machine learning solutions that generated $41 million in annual impact. Prior to Uber, Brendan worked as a Research Scientist at Convoy Inc., a Senior Data Science Instructor at Kaplan, and a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Capital One, where Brendan implemented a high-performance model serving platform. Earlier roles include internships and research positions at Lawfty LLC., RevUp Software, Perkins+Will, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Brendan holds a Master’s degree in Data Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of San Francisco, along with a Leadership Fellowship from Out in Front.
