Chris Tokita

Chris Tokita, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at Stripe, focusing on cybersecurity to support the company's mission of enhancing the internet's economic infrastructure. In addition, Chris is a board member at Abundant Housing LA, advocating for solutions to Southern California's housing crisis, and a member of the Integrity Institute, working toward a better social internet. Previously, Chris was a Senior Data Scientist at Phylum, where essential machine learning models for cybersecurity were developed. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Computational Ecology from Princeton University and a B.S. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Yale University, alongside various roles in public policy and data analysis throughout Chris's career.
